One of the frustrating things about working
with "designers" is that few really understand electronics
products or the sensibilities of the various marketplaces.
This means you have to do a lot of hand-holding and may never
be satisfied with what you get.
At Cebiz,
we understand because we've lived in this industry for most
of our professional lives. Our creative director, Chris
Esse, is a very rare breed of designer who possesses top-notch
creative and copywriting skills on top of a thorough understanding
of all things CE. Chris manages all of our creative projects,
ensuring that the final product is right for you and your
audience.
The term
"graphic design" is somewhat misleading because
it says nothing about writing. For most projects, the words
are at least as important as the style. Sometimes a key word
or phrase informs the visual content; sometimes it's just
the opposite. In any case, Cebiz believes these two aspects
of design are inseparable, and that's how we approach every
project.
When you
first assign us a project, we will pepper you with questions
about your goal, the audience, your budget, etc. We know what
questions to ask because we've been in your position. We won't
have to call you every other day so you can put it in "layman's
terms" again. We get it.
When we
send you mock-ups to review, we'll encourage you to criticize
them. Why? Because we find clients sometimes get dazzled by
the design process and fail to take a critical look. And,
ultimately, it helps us become better at what we do.
