Cebiz is a full-service
marketing development and consulting firm founded by respected CE industry
veterans John Caldwell and Kevin St.John Leja. Together, we have more
than 50 years experience in virtually every facet of the CE industry
from retail to sales management; from editorial to PR and ad agencies;
from R&D and manufacturing; to design and development of the cutting edge
web-based products and services.

Who better to tackle
your sales and marketing development processes? John's recent experience
as VP Sales and Marketing with one of the most venerable names in consumer
electronics, McIntosh Laboratory, is a good case in point.
Based on a balanced
attack with strategic PR, striking new sales materials, strong product
management, revolutionary training and revitalized distribution, John
drove them to greater brand position than ever before and more importantly,
achieved profitability for the first time in their ten years of ownership
by Clarion of Japan.
John's market savvy
and vision was also strengthened during his tenure with CurtCo Freedom
Group magazines. As Director of Marketing for Home Theater magazine
and Home Theater Interiors magazine, John created a pullout magazine
(called CASTLE) within Home Theater magazine dedicated to the coverage
of systems integration and networked homes.
Prior to this, as
Associate Publisher, John also played a key role in the launch of Mobile
Sound magazine, Car Audio Shopper magazine and Digital Home Entertainment
magazine.
John's sales expertise
and industry savvy includes experience gained as National Sales Manager
for the $300 million automotive electronics sales division of Kenwood
USA.
John is a member
of PARA (Professional Audio Retailers Association), CEDIA, (Custom Electronics
Design and Installation Association), CEA (Consumer Electronics Association.)
He is also on the Board of Directors for CEA - Audio Subdivision, Board
of Directors CEA - Home Theater Sub Division. Member of the CEA's Marketing
and Promotions Committee.

From his vantage
point of 8 years at Sonance (the in-wall speaker company that defined
the early shape of the custom installation marketplace), Kevin has personally
participated in building this category. He spent five years as Director
of Marketing. The last two years there were spent as Director of Business
Development, researching and developing new markets for in-wall speakers,
resulting in the first full line of in-wall speakers and accessories
- HomeTech - for the Do It Yourself category.
Since leaving Sonance
in 1997, Kevin has developed a successful design, marketing, and advertising
company. He has led the charge in defining new pathways for CE companies
to market themselves on the World Wide Web - including Speakercraft,
Assured Systems, and numerous independent custom installers - with custom
and turnkey web site strategies.
His crusade is
to empower companies through web-based e-commerce, database-centric,
and IT-based solutions. Kevin's web development work and the intelligent
application of the web's capabilities to sales and marketing has served
clients outside the CE industry, including The Center for Due Diligence,
American Sterling Corporation, Prentice Technologies, and United Agencies
Insurance Group.
